BEING INTERNATIONAL (CAMBRIDGE / CPE/CPT)

Learning English in Malaysia is important because it is one of the international means of communication that is globalized and it interconnects people around the world.English language connects people around the world through four main mediums that are listening, writing, reading and speaking. Therefore, Malaysian students tend to be introduced with English at schools both from basic to post basic levels whereby the Malaysian English language curriculum varies from lower secondary to upper secondary in order to sharpen students four English language skills;speaking, listening, reading and writing. Nevertheless, the degree of depthness and comprehensiveness that the secondary schools especially lower secondary level addresses towards students writing skill is likely to be restricted and insufficient. Thus, from 2013 the Ministry of Education in Malaysia introduced the Malaysian Educational Blueprint (2013-2025) and it integrates 21st century learning elements into English language learning. Concisely, moving towards advancement in English language writing, this research aims to develop a Teacher-Made kit  writing module for Form 1 students that is based on 21st century learning aspects that aims to improve their elaboration and organization skills in English writing.

Hence as teachers , in my opinion we also need to move forward by integrating international syllabus as we are teaching English.
