Cliparts

The teacher’s primary role in this model is to help recognise the group process and discipline it, to help the students find and organise information and to ensure that there is a vigorous level of activity and discourse’. In simple words, teachers become facilitators in helping students to recognise items by using pictures and asking students to identify items or objects in the pictures. Later, as learners utter the words teachers write down the words on the whiteboard and organises the items or objects in groups for students to learn. On the other hand, learners role is to become active learners when they learn through inductive learning approach since ‘inductive is more risky and time-consuming route but is a more active form of learning’.

The most important teaching resource for this model is pictures and plenty of pictures since this approach favours the believe that ‘the whole picture to be the starting point in learning any new concept or principle’. To illustrate further, teachers can use pictures to develop vocabulary sights or also create picture dictionary.

We are referring back to the PWM model because Cliparts are related with pictures.
Getting to know Cliparts. Cliparts reminds us off the 90th time of teaching whereby it was such in a trend just like how now flashcards are.

According Wikipedia, Clipart is "in the graphic arts, is pre-made images used to illustrate any medium. Today, clip art is used extensively. Clip art comes in many forms, both electronic and printed. However, most clip art today is created, distributed, and used in an electronic form. "

Now, still we do sometimes prefer to use Clipart to teach. With nowaday technology we can even create our own Cliparts.

I found this amazing website whereby I used it to create a lot of Cliparts. However after coming across this amazing website, i stopped creating but only mostly downloading and printing and laminating and decorating my classroom or even giving as rewards to my students.

The website is amazing because it is provides plenty of educational focused Cliparts and not only useful but also bright, catchy, and emotional . Wheneven I use cliparts from this website, it changes my boring classroom into and enjoyable one since it gets connected with students. This website provides thousands of free clip art images for education that comes in many varieties of design styles for any purpose: classroom materials and worksheets, Powerpoint presentations, custom greeting cards, students’ projects, and much more.
