According to wike‘simulation refers to playing the roles of persons engaged in real life pursuits in the classroom’. It is about students playing realistic roles in a simulation that is as realistic as possible that may assist them in developing skills, concepts as well as learning the consequences of their actions or mistakes and become more aware, knowledgeable and skilled in life and study.

To explain further students will act their specific roles and describe their perceptions, feelings and action reactions followed by teachers analyse students acting process then learners and teachers compare and contrast the simulation and real life situation and lastly teacher and students either appraise and will redesign the simulation if needed.


The teacher’s role is as a facilitator and observer since ‘ the teacher using the simulation model in the classroom has to guide and help the learners develop their skills in terms of exploring their responses’. As Bala also supports that ‘it helps to establish the teacher in the neutral roles of facilitator and observer’. The learners play the role as active learners and actors since they need to take responsibility and ownership for their roles in a simulation.

Referring to the above it can be done in a normal classroom. But how about online classroom ? I did further research on this model and I found out that To facilitate meaningful and effective learning through this model, teachers can use computer-based simulation and learning materials that support the computer system. 

In short, I did alot of research online and I found out certain amazing websites that can provide use with lots of interactive activities and games. 
Teachers one of the best methods to keep students engaged in any part of an online class is through interactive approach. In my opinion, the best method is through online games. Students would love to play and at the same time learn.
