Getting to know Living nonLiving Things/Continents/Oceans/ Transportations/Sports

We want our students to become scientifically literate, then the inquiry we do in the classroom must reflect authentic scientific inquiry It means that if teachers want students to be scientifically literate then they can implement this model because their teaching approaches and activities will be based on scientific methods.

a) Learners are engaged by scientifically orientated questions
b) Learners give priority to evidence
c)Learners formulate explanations from evidence
d) Learners evaluate explanation
e) Learners communicate and justify their proposed explanation.

The Scientific Inquiry Model has a lot of benefits in generating meaningful and effective learning in the classroom. Firstly, students have the opportunity to make decisions and acquire concepts. Learning through this model always caters learners ample chances to make firsthand decisions and construct concepts based on their decisions. Students can decide which questions to raise at various points, which ones to follow in depth and why, what science tools to use for various tasks, how to organize data, how to portray the patterns created by the data, and what conclusions to accept or reject as they work.’ Hence, this model polish students decision making skills as well as guides them to construct concepts based on their own decisions. Last benefit is that this model allows students to learn a science information in multiple ways since ‘they communicate their thoughts and ideas through practical action as well as through symbols (i.e., speech, writing, numbers, drawings).’ Thus, this further strengthens students understanding about the science information.
Scientific Inquiry Model is a useful model especially in generating a meaningful and effective learning in the classroom.

I am restating again on Scientific model because in my opinion learning about us also relates with Science.

Dear teachers these are some of the common topics that will come across as we are teaching our students. First of all I will define each of the topics.

Living things are things that always undergo somekind of changes while non living things remain static and the most important thing is that it does not breath.

Continents are the countries around us.And the placements of land on Earth

Oceans are the water that surrounds our land and there a 5 big oceans.

Transportation are something that we use to take us from one destination to another.

Sports is a very interesting topic to discuss. We can talk alot of things regarding sports. We can talk about sports day, sports events, speech on a runner and many more.
